There is no doubt that Greece is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. -The Jewel of Mediterranean- ,as it has been previously called has the tenth longest coastline in the world at 14,880 km (9,246 mi) in length, featuring an enormous number of islands (approximately 1400, of which only 227 are inhabited). Millions of tourists visit Greece every year(mostly during the summer months) and leave the country with many wonderful memories that are hard to forget. I am convinced that any traveler that has visited Greece will surely tell you about the natural beauty of the country and about its rich cultural background. Most travelers visit the Greek Islands because they combine all the assets mentioned above plus they have wonderful beaches where the traveler can enjoy swimming.

    >

There are many ways that a traveler can access the Greek islands. He can either go there by air(most major Greek Islands have airports) or by sea. Although the idea of traveling by plane can be rather tempting and comfortable it can also be rather expensive. Moreover another good idea is taking a cruise to the Greek islands however it can also be rather expensive and does not give you the freedom to explore the Greek islands by yourself. In my opinion the most enjoyable way to travel through Greek islands is by ferry. Traveling by ferry is most suitable for the kind of traveler that loves the sea and considers ferries as part of his holiday. These people are the lucky ones who can treat a long ferry journey as a fun thing to do, rather than a business traveler who just wants to get to his destination as quick as possible.

The ferries in Greece are modern, fast and comfortable.

No matter in which way you decide to visit Greece and regardless of the time of the year Greece surely give you some unforgettable experiences…

Paraty is in one of the most beautiful areas of Brazil and famed for its lovely coastline dotted with sixty-five islands. There are over 300 beaches accessible by boat from Paraty and boat tours directed by locals can take you to the best ones for your purposes. Whether you want calm water for swimming, a variety of sea life for snorkeling, or the finest sand for sunbathing, the islands can deliver. There are also special areas for scuba divers who want to explore Paratys islands from a different depth.

The closest, and therefore most visited, islands are close to Paratys shores and located in the bay. These are some of the most beautiful islands with fine white-sand beaches situated close to reefs for viewing a variety of sea life during snorkeling, but you will usually have to share the views with quite a few other people. For those seeking a more solitary excursion, there are also tours to some of the farther islands that are perfect for a romantic day with a loved one or a secluded family picnic.

There are a few different ways to get to these beautiful islands, but by far the nicest way is by sail boat. Chartering a sail boat is more expensive than some of the other tour options, but the peace and tranquility you experience while sunning on your deck as you slice through calm turquoise water to pristine islands is unparalleled. If chartering a private sail boat is out of your budget, there are larger boats that take many travelers at once to some of the islands and are very inexpensive. Or, travelers can rent a private boat with an outboard motor for a more intimate experience. These little fishing boats are usually operated by locals who can whisk you to many of the more secluded beaches. Fishing boats are the best option for small groups wanting to see many of the islands as they are faster than the other boats which means more time for snorkeling and sunning.

People who are learning to surf often ask about the kind of surfboard that is best to learn on. The most common answer that you get to this question is that bigger and longer surfboards make learning easier. But instead of getting a surfboard that is as long as ten feet, it is recommended that you buy an eight foot funboard whether it is a generic brand or a high performance brand like, Channel Islands Surfboards or JS surfboards, that you choose.

You must also consider how long you will be using the surfboard. You wont be a beginner for ever so you cannot be buying a surfboard that is going to be good for you for just a few months. As someone who is learning to surf, a wide and stable surfboard will help you stand up with ease. And since longer surfboards make it easier for you to catch waves, you will prefer a longer one. But then a longer surfboard whether it is made by JS surfboards or Channel Islands Surfboards, also makes it difficult to turn and it wont be very long before you start practicing to turn even if you are a beginner. A funboard surfboard makes turning a lot easier and it will permit you to ride the same board for much longer as you get better at surfing.

Another thing that one should consider before selecting from Channel Islands Surfboards or the JS surfboards is larger surfboards are more difficult to paddle out on. For beginners in surfing, paddling out into the waves is not easy and a larger board will tend to get pushed around even more by the waves. Beginner surfers would do well to paddle into the waves by making use of a smaller board. Funboards come in a more high performance shape than longboards, and while it may be at the most just one foot shorter, there could be one third less foam used in the board giving it less pushback from the waves.

No matter whether you choose JS surfboards or Channel Islands Surfboards another thing that you need to keep in mind is how easy your chosen surfboard is to handle. A lot of new surfers dont think of where they will keep their surfboard once they are out of the water. You need a place to store it and if yours is a ten foot surfboard and you have a nine foot ceiling at home, storing it will put you in a dilemma. Also, carrying a 10 foot surfboard on the top of your car can be a pain unless you have a strong longboard rack or pickup truck. An eight foot surfboard is a lot easier to handle and maneuver. Other things that play a role in the selection of a surfboard are your body weight and the kind of surf and waves you will be surfing.
